Our Background
Bridging British Education Virtual Academy (BBEVA) is the education brand of Double Wings, a UK-based international education company headquartered in central London.
BBEVA is dedicated to providing high-quality British education and personalised academic support to students from around the world, particularly those whose first language is not English.
Our programmes are based on the UK National Curriculum, with additional academic preparation tailored to the requirements of UK independent school admissions. We offer personalised tutoring, academic preparation and educational guidance designed to support each student’s individual needs, abilities and educational goals.
Over the years, BBEVA has supported students and families from mainland China, Hong Kong, UK, Southeast Asia, New Zealand and other regions, helping students prepare for entry into leading independent schools and universities across the UK.
With a strong understanding of the British education system and extensive experience supporting international students, BBEVA is committed to helping students build strong academic foundations, develop confidence and make a successful transition into the British education system.

Language & Literature programmes help students develop strong communication and literacy skills in English and other languages. Through engaging texts, discussion and creative expression, students build confidence in using language while developing a deeper appreciation of different cultures and perspectives.

STEM programmes bring together knowledge and skills from Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Through practical projects, problem-solving and innovative design, students learn to apply interdisciplinary knowledge to real-world challenges while developing critical thinking, creativity and collaboration skills.

Humanities programmes encourage students to explore the people, cultures, ideas and events that have shaped our world. Academic & Core Skills programmes develop essential skills for academic success and lifelong learning. Through Debate, Critical Thinking, Reading & Writing, students learn to analyse ideas, express themselves clearly, consider different perspectives and build well-reasoned arguments.

One-to-one courses are tailored to each student's individual needs, interests, abilities and learning goals. Depending on the student's requirements, programmes may focus on exam preparation, subject-specific support, academic development or targeted skills practice. Each programme is designed to provide focused, personalised support and help students make meaningful progress with confidence.
Chris Davies
Headmaster
Chris has more than 40 years of experience in British independent education, with a career spanning teaching, school leadership, inspection and governance.
He is a former Chairman of IAPS (Independent Association of Prep Schools) and also served as Head of its Consulting Department. He has worked as an Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) inspector and has served as a governor at a number of independent schools. Chris has also served as Headmaster of Edgeborough School and Abingdon Prep School, bringing extensive experience in school leadership and the academic and personal development of young learners.
At BBEVA, Chris provides strategic academic leadership and draws on his extensive experience to support students, families and our wider academic team.

Peter Martin
Deputy Headmaster & Academic Director
Peter has more than 40 years of experience in teaching and educational leadership, with a career spanning teaching, school leadership and academic management.
He has held senior leadership positions, including Headmaster and Housemaster at leading schools, and brings extensive experience in academic management, curriculum development and school leadership. Peter is also known for his thorough and rigorous approach to teaching and is one of BBEVA’s most highly regarded and popular teachers.
At BBEVA, Peter oversees academic development and brings his high standards, extensive experience and commitment to student progress to both our academic team and students.
